The KMB Communications team returned to Montana after ten days in Dallas invigorated, inspired, and, admittedly, exhausted. If these three states-of-mind sound contradictory, only someone who has experienced a large audiovisual industry trade show, representing multiple clients across the convention center and convention center hotel and offering support to a number of industry organizations and the press, can truly understand.

The KMB team collected gigabytes of video footage and photos, managed meetings, connected clients with the press, and even managed to enjoy a chicken-fried steak or two in between it all! We’ve shared some of the coverage we collected, but stay tuned to our social media channels and this blog for even more! Now, CEDIA Expo is over and all that’s left are the show wrap-ups.

Post-Show Coverage Through the Eyes of KMB
For a public relations and communications firm, the post-show follow up can be as intense as show days . We keep our eyes on the Web, and our finger on the pulse of the industry, looking for trends and additional opportunities to add our clients’ messages to the mix. It’s all part of the job and we love it.

In the digital age, this outreach extends to podcasts and videos. KMB Communications was proud and honored this week when Corey Moss and Johnny Mota, two of our favorite #AVTweeps, invited Katye (McGregor) Bennett, KMB owner, founder, and chief strategist, to appear on THE WEEK, a rAVe podcast offering an insider’s look at the events of CEDIA Expo.

In the spirit of collaboration, Katye called up Vigita U.G. of Stewart Filmscreen and Steve Muccini of Ihiji to discuss the companies’ recent growth, from newly redesigned websites to enhanced product offerings, and their CEDIA Expo experiences. The hosts also invited Tim Sinnaeve and Alison Maxson of Barco, making for a well-rounded episode covering trends in projection systems, 4K content and distribution, and remote network management solutions as they pertain to home audio and video systems. In addition to discussing CEDIA trends, technology, and developments, Katye and Vigita offered their praise of the Women in CE Breakfast, which drew a record attendance this year.

We’d tell you more, but we don’t want to spoil it. This podcast is well worth a listen! THE WEEK: Episode 107
