FOUNDER: KMB CEO Katye McGregor Bennett is host of the AV Trade Talk & Connecting Tech + Design podcasts, a regular contributor to AV Nation ResiWeek, author of a monthly column in Residential Systems, “Secrets of Success,” and a CEDIA and ISE influencer as well as a trusted subject matter expert. Katye has had roles in nearly every aspect of the industry, giving her a unique perspective in knowing the needs of targeted audiences. Some of these roles include working for manufacturers, managing a rep group and leading a distribution buying group as executive director.
TEAM: The KMB Team consists of former magazine editors, journalists, and expert content creators and communications strategists that understand the language of AV and the nuances of the industry, community, adjacent trades, and consumers. KMB content writers have authored books on AV and served as editors and contributors at national pubs like Electronic House, Home Theater, Wired, CE Pro, HGTV, Residential Systems, KBB, Commercial Integrator, and more.
NETWORK: When you join our network, you will find yourself in a group that is tight-knit, built on trust, and consists of residential and commercial/pro AV integration professionals, design-build trade professionals, and the media and influencers who serve them.
KMB has strong ties in the pro and consumer AV space, and we consider ourselves expert matchmakers. We connect our clients — typically a mix of AV manufacturers, integration firms, and associations — with architects, builders, and interior designers in order to help them tap into new opportunities where it makes sense. Many of our clients have been with us from the beginning, from startup to success. Others are new friends looking for a fresh program. And some even hire us for help on an ad hoc basis, like for media relations at trade shows. We work with you to create a custom program.
