Apex Technologies Unveils Major Power and Home Cinema Innovations at CEDIA Expo 2026
New secure shareable Web Proxy technology, shareable interactive Cinema Hub demonstrations, and the first complete GUDE Systems lineup deliver smarter deployment, proactive service, and greater sales opportunities for integrators.
Denver, Colo. (August 2026) — Apex Technologies returns to CEDIA Expo 2026 with an expanded lineup of premium power management and home cinema solutions, reinforcing its commitment to delivering complete, interoperable systems that simplify specification, installation, and long-term support for systems integrators and exceptional, reliable performance for their customers. At Booth #4415, dedicated power and cinema zones will showcase the latest innovations from Apex alongside a full lineup of best-in-class technology partners, including TPI Aerospace, Meridian Audio, ProtoPixel, HDAnywhere, Innovolt, 360 Power Quality and GUDE Systems.
The exhibition reflects Apex’s continued investment in the two disciplines that form the foundation of every high-performance entertainment system: clean, intelligent power and reference-quality audio and video. From centralized power management and remote diagnostics to immersive audio, user-friendly cinema control, creative lighting, and innovative loudspeaker systems, Apex offers integrators a comprehensive resource for designing virtually any residential power or home cinema project.
Highlights include the latest enhancements to the Apex Cinema Hub, Powered by Control Envy, now featuring a new shareable interactive online demonstration platform that allows integrators to present clients an intuitive browser-based control interface before a system is ever installed. Visitors can also explore Power Hub, Powered by Control Envy, now featuring a secure shareable Web Proxy technology for encrypted remote device access, expanded network discovery, and enhanced remote monitoring and diagnostics.
Beyond Apex’s own technologies, Apex will feature TPI’s Movement audio technology for DVLED Walls, Meridian Audio’s latest Reference loudspeakers and Image Elevation technology, creative digital pixel lighting from ProtoPixel, and intelligent power management solutions designed to improve system reliability while creating new recurring service opportunities for integrators.
“Power and cinema have always gone hand in hand,” says Ryan Donaher, owner of Apex Technologies. “Every exceptional home theater begins with a stable electrical foundation, and every premium power system deserves intelligent monitoring and management. At Apex, we’re continually expanding our family of solutions to give integrators powerful, versatile technologies that work together seamlessly, whether they’re designing a dedicated reference cinema, protecting an entire luxury residence, or delivering both. By bringing together best-in-class products under one roof, we’re helping our dealers simplify projects, improve performance, and grow their businesses.”
Major Updates to Apex Power Hub, Powered by Control Envy, and Cinema Hub, Powered by Control Envy
NEW Secure Shareable Web Proxy Provides Enhanced Network Visibility
Featured in the Apex Power Management Zone, inside Apex Technologies’ Booth (#4415), is the latest generation of the Power Hub, Powered by Control Envy, where visitors can experience a live demonstration of its new Secure Shareable Web Proxy technology. This breakthrough capability provides secure, encrypted remote access to supported device interfaces through a specially designed web proxy, eliminating the need for third-party remote desktop software while significantly enhancing both cybersecurity and remote tech support efficiency.
The new Secure Web Proxy transforms the Power Hub, Powered by Control Envy, from a centralized monitoring and diagnostics platform into a comprehensive, proactive remote monitoring and service solution. Combined with expanded network discovery, remote diagnostics, historical power analytics, and automated power sequencing, the platform gives dealers unprecedented visibility into both power and network infrastructure, enabling them to identify, diagnose, and often resolve issues before an on-site service call is required. Lutron Leap Integration is also included, allowing Lutron Keypad presses to control any number of automated schedules, PDUs, or PoE Switch outputs.
Also new is expanded hardware-agnostic support, allowing the Apex Power Hub, Powered by Control Envy, to monitor and manage leading third-party intelligent PDUs, including Middle Atlantic, BlueBOLT, SurgeX, and Snap One, as well as network switches from manufacturers, including Ruckus, Cisco, Ubiquity, and Netgear. The result is broader visibility across both power and network infrastructure, giving integrators a single platform for monitoring critical systems while leveraging existing hardware investments.
NEW Live Shareable Interactive Interface Demo
Helping integrators sell more systems, Apex has added a powerful new capability to its Cinema Hub, Powered by Control Envy: an interactive online demonstration platform that gives dealers and homeowners the industry’s first opportunity to experience the Cinema Hub interface through a fully functional virtual system on their mobile devices. Rather than relying on videos or static screenshots, users can explore the browser-based interface in real time, via a smartphone or tablet, providing an authentic preview of the customer experience before a system is ever installed.
The demonstration showcases Cinema Hub’s intuitive HTML5 interface and its ability to unify control of projectors, processors, lighting, content sources, and video playback within a single, streamlined platform. Compatible with smartphones, tablets, AVA remotes, and Crestron touch panels, the browser-based architecture delivers a consistent user experience while reducing installation complexity and simplifying long-term support for integrators.
Most importantly, the live demonstration reinforces one of the greatest advantages of the Cinema Hub, Powered by Control Envy: a dedicated programmer is NOT required for setup and deployment, making it easier than ever for integrators to demonstrate the platform’s simplicity, flexibility, and ease of use.
“Some of the innovations we’re introducing this year simply have to be seen to be appreciated,” adds Donaher. “Whether it’s securely accessing a processor through our new Web Proxy technology or interacting with Cinema Hub’s live virtual demo, these are capabilities that fundamentally change how dealers deploy, support, and demonstrate systems. They’re true experience moments.”
Apex Debuts Full Family of GUDE Systems Power Products
Making its debut at CEDIA Expo 2026 is Apex’s first-ever showcase of the complete GUDE Systems product portfolio for the residential market. Complementing the Apex Power Hub, Powered by Control Envy, and Cinema Hub, Powered by Control Envy, is the full family of GUDE Systems intelligent power distribution and protection solutions, including UL-approved IP-addressable PDUs, environmental monitoring, outlet-level control, and series-mode surge protection. Together, Apex and GUDE provide a comprehensive ecosystem for power protection, regulation, monitoring, and intelligent management across virtually any residential installation, giving integrators a complete portfolio of solutions from a single trusted source.
Other Key Product Demos
Apex Technologies will also showcase Movement, TPI Aerospace’s premium loudspeaker platform engineered specifically for direct-view LED (dvLED) displays. Using the patented TPI DVC Movement Controller, this category-defining system manipulates timing, gain, and wavefronts to create phantom audio channels perfectly aligned with the on-screen action. This innovative approach solves one of the biggest challenges facing systems integrators today: delivering accurate, immersive audio when loudspeakers cannot be placed behind large-format LED video walls. Attendees can experience the technology during a special demonstration pairing TPI Movement with Quantum Media Systems’ XDR4-8K Extreme LED Wall in Demo Room MR201HPA, showcasing how immersive multi-channel audio and native 8K video combine to create a true reference-quality dvLED cinema experience.
Products available from Apex Technologies will also be featured throughout CEDIA Expo. Visitors can experience Meridian Audio Reference loudspeakers, including the new DSP750 with Image Elevation technology and the DSW15 Active Subwoofer, at the Just Video Walls exhibit (Booth #3000).
ProtoPixel interactive digital pixel lighting will also be showcased inside Sony’s immersive home theater demonstration (Booth #2120), highlighting how expressive lighting enhances luxury residential entertainment environments.
