Nerve’s Pinnacle Luxury Residence Sweeps Major Industry Awards at CEDIA Expo 2026
Pinnacle named Ultimate Crestron Home, earns three CE Pro Home of the Year Awards, a Performance Home Award from Technology Designer, and is recognized as a finalist in the CEDIA Smart Home Awards.
(PARK CITY, UTAH) — September 2026 — Nerve, a leading designer and integrator of sophisticated technology systems for luxury residences, is celebrating a remarkable collection of industry honors for its Pinnacle project, including being named the 2026 Ultimate Crestron Home in the Crestron Home Technology Awards. The prestigious Crestron honor joins three CE Pro Home of the Year Awards, a Performance Home Award for Best Design from Technology Designer, and recognition as a finalist in the 2026 CEDIA Smart Home Awards, underscoring Nerve’s ability to unite technology, architecture and interior design into a cohesive, highly personalized living environment.
Through meticulous design, engineering and installation, Nerve orchestrated more than 770 connected devices spanning approximately 120 equipment categories throughout the 18,000-square-foot residence. Yet despite the enormous technological infrastructure behind the scenes, Pinnacle feels remarkably intuitive to its homeowners, with systems working together naturally to support their routines, comfort, entertainment and lifestyle.
Pinnacle Named Ultimate Crestron Home
The 2026 Crestron Home Technology Awards honor integrators from around the world for their innovation, creativity and commitment to delivering exceptional smart home experiences. The annual program reflects Crestron’s “True Blue” philosophy of shared success with its dealers and integrators.
Among eight award categories, Pinnacle by Nerve was named Ultimate Crestron Home, an honor recognizing an end-to-end solution that brings a broad range of systems and subsystems together into a comprehensive, cohesive smart home while leveraging Crestron technology to exceptional effect.
Crestron Home OS serves as the intelligent foundation of Pinnacle, coordinating more than 770 connected devices into a unified residential ecosystem. Crestron CP4-R and MC4-R processors orchestrate Horizon keypads, touchscreens, handheld remotes, DM NVX AV-over-IP video distribution, DM NAX Audio-over-IP distribution, QMT motorized shading, tunable-white lighting, climate control, security, landscape lighting, pool automation and environmental controls.
Three CE Pro Home of the Year Awards Recognize Nerve’s Design and Integration Expertise
For the second consecutive year, Nerve earned multiple CE Pro Home of the Year Awards. At CEDIA Expo 2026, CE Pro honored Nerve’s Pinnacle project with three awards recognizing its expertise in whole-home integration, lighting and shading, and master suite technology:
Gold — Best Master Suite Rather than treating the suite as simply another technology zone, Nerve designed its lighting, shading, climate, entertainment and control capabilities around the homeowners’ individual routines and preferences. Automated schedules and scenes allow the environment to change throughout the day with minimal interaction, while discreet interfaces provide immediate control whenever desired.
Silver — Best Lighting and Shading Control Project Architectural, tunable-white and color-changing lighting work in concert with automated shading and the Crestron control ecosystem. Circadian lighting supports natural changes in light throughout the day, while daylight and occupancy information help the home respond automatically to changing conditions.
The shading system presented its own considerable design and engineering challenges. With 167 windows and more than 130 custom shade assemblies, Nerve carefully coordinated recessed pockets, window dimensions and architectural constraints to preserve clean sightlines while providing automated management of daylight, glare, solar heat and privacy.
Silver — Best Whole-House Smart Home Project Over $1M Together with the Ultimate Crestron Home Award, recognizes not only the extraordinary scale and complexity of Pinnacle but Nerve’s ability to make all of that technology operate as one unified experience.
Beyond lighting and shading, the residence incorporates distributed audio and video, climate control, security, networking, pool and landscape systems, and extensive outdoor entertainment. A robust entertainment infrastructure includes 174 architectural loudspeakers, multiple displays, and Crestron DM NVX and DM NAX distribution.
Pinnacle also includes an extensive recreation wing with a bowling alley and video wall, arcade, basketball court, climbing area and golf simulator, as well as a dedicated private cinema engineered beneath the motor court. Despite this extraordinary scope, the systems function as a cohesive ecosystem rather than a collection of independent technologies.
“Every year it is both a privilege and a genuine challenge to judge the CE Pro Home of the Year Awards. The entries represent some of the very best work our industry has to offer, so distinguishing the winners from such an accomplished field is no small feat. The 2026 honorees demonstrate an exceptional level of innovation, technical expertise and design vision, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in the modern smart home,” says CE Pro executive editor Zach Comeau. “With multiple Home of the Year honors, Nerve’s Pinnacle is a standout example of that excellence. It demonstrates what can be achieved when sophisticated technology and thoughtful design are conceived as one, resulting in a home that is as intuitive and effortless to experience as it is technologically remarkable.”
Pinnacle also earned recognition in the 2026 Technology Designer Performance Home Awards, which honor the very best in technological achievement, design aesthetics and collaboration among the many trades involved in creating high-performance homes and buildings. The awards reflect a growing emphasis on early collaboration among integrators, architects, designers and other project partners to create residences that are healthier, more enjoyable to live in and more responsive to environmental conditions.
For Nerve, the recognition is especially meaningful because Pinnacle was conceived around exactly that kind of collaborative, design-forward approach. Technology decisions were made in concert with the architecture, interior design and broader construction process, resulting in a residence where sophisticated systems enhance the home’s comfort, wellness, entertainment and everyday livability without competing with the design.
Further underscoring the project’s achievements, Pinnacle was named a finalist in the 2026 CEDIA Smart Home Awards, which recognize outstanding projects completed by professional integrators around the world.
Pinnacle Demonstrates a New Model for the Automated Luxury Home
Together, the awards reinforce Nerve’s ability to transform an enormous amount of sophisticated technology into an experience that feels remarkably intuitive to the homeowners and cohesive with the home’s architecture and interior design.
Rather than requiring the homeowners to continually manage technology, Nerve designed the residence so many functions respond naturally to daily routines, occupancy, daylight, time of day and changing conditions. Lighting and shading adjust automatically, entertainment is available throughout the property, and personalized scenes simplify complex combinations of technology into intuitive commands.
At the same time, Nerve thoughtfully minimized the visual presence of technology through careful planning and installation, allowing the home’s architecture and interior design to remain the focus. Lighting and shading become integral elements of the design itself, enhancing the aesthetics, ambiance and comfort of each space, while discreetly integrated controls provide easy access when needed. The result reflects Nerve’s philosophy that technology and design should work together as a cohesive whole, with sophisticated systems enhancing both the experience and appearance of the home.
“We’re incredibly proud and honored to have Pinnacle recognized by Crestron, CE Pro, Technology Designer, and CEDIA,” says Todd Astill, founder and president of Nerve. “These honors reinforce what we set out to achieve with this project: a home where technology, architecture and the homeowner experience are considered together from the very beginning. Being named Ultimate Crestron Home is especially meaningful because Crestron technology forms the foundation that allowed us to bring an extraordinary number of systems together into one cohesive experience. Pinnacle is incredibly sophisticated behind the scenes, but that complexity is virtually invisible to the homeowners. To us, that’s the hallmark of a truly exceptional smart home: technology that works so naturally and intuitively that you rarely have to think about it.”
