Quantum Media Systems Demos New XDR5-8K Video Wall System at CEDIA Expo 2026

True 8K multi-stream processing, enhanced 0.9mm pixel pitch, studio-reference imaging and turnkey integration establish a new benchmark for luxury residential entertainment.

LOS ANGELES, CA — August 13, 2026 — Quantum Media Systems returns to CEDIA Expo with the XDR5-8K, its next-generation video wall system purpose-built for luxury residential environments. Combining true 8K performance, an enhanced 0.9mm pixel pitch, advanced multi-stream processing, studio-reference imaging and comprehensive turnkey support, the XDR5-8K expands what homeowners, designers and integrators can expect from large-scale residential video walls.

CEDIA Expo attendees can experience the XDR5-8K in Room 201, where Quantum will present an immersive home cinema demonstration featuring native 8K content delivered by Kaleidescape’s new 8K media player. Surrounding the visuals will be TPI Aerospace’s Movement immersive audio system, engineered specifically for direct-view LED displays. Together, the technologies will demonstrate how reference-quality image and sound can converge to faithfully reproduce content as filmmakers intended.

“At Quantum, our goal has always been to bring the standards of professional cinema into the home while making these sophisticated systems practical for integrators to deliver,” says Ken Hoffman, founder and CEO of Quantum Media Systems. ““The XDR5-8K represents a significant leap in immersive imaging, combining true 8K performance with the flexibility to transform how homeowners experience movies, sports, art and entertainment on a grand scale.”

True 8K Without Compromise

At the heart of the XDR5-8K is Quantum’s advanced Visual Media Server, a next-generation processing platform engineered to support multiple simultaneous native 8K video streams without downscaling. Unlike conventional display processing that can reduce image resolution when handling multiple sources, the Visual Media Server preserves full 8K image fidelity while displaying multiple 8K streams, or any combination of 4K and 8K content, within fully customizable window layouts.

The capability dramatically expands the possibilities for luxury entertainment spaces. Homeowners can simultaneously follow multiple live sporting events, combine entertainment with security feeds, display digital artwork, game, or create personalized visual environments while maintaining the intended quality of each source.

The XDR5-8K’s 0.9mm pixel pitch further enhances detail and close-up viewing, creating smooth, pin-sharp imagery suited to both dedicated theaters and multipurpose entertainment environments. The CEDIA demonstration will showcase these capabilities with native 8K content from Kaleidescape, giving attendees the opportunity to experience the system with an uncompromised 8K source.

Studio-Reference DCI Imaging Comes Home

Image performance extends well beyond resolution. Drawing on Quantum’s experience designing systems for professional post-production and cinema environments, the XDR5-8K delivers studio-reference color accuracy, including precise primary and secondary color reproduction. Its Digital Cinema-compliant performance brings professional imaging standards into luxury residences, preserving the contrast, color and image fidelity of the original content.

A Multi-Faceted Home Entertainment Centerpiece

The XDR5-8K also moves beyond the traditional role of a display. Through the integrated Visual Media Server, custom graphic overlays, interactive widgets and control interfaces can appear directly on the video wall. The display can therefore serve as both an entertainment centerpiece and an intuitive interface for the connected home. Additionally, sports, gaming, digital art, security feeds, videoconferencing sessions and other content can all become part of a customized visual experience, making the XDR5-8K one of the most highly versatile video walls on the market today.

Closing Deals with New Visualization Feature

Quantum is also extending the XDR5-8K experience to the earliest stages of a project through its integrated visualization platform. Before construction begins, integrators can create highly realistic renderings of the complete entertainment environment, including the video wall, loudspeakers, lighting, seating and furnishings, allowing homeowners to experience the proposed space before it is built. The visualization capability helps integrators communicate complex design concepts, accelerate client approvals and align expectations among homeowners, designers and other project stakeholders before critical construction and installation decisions are made.

Turnkey Support from Design Through Commissioning

While the XDR5-8K expands the technical and creative possibilities of residential video walls, Quantum has designed its delivery model to reduce the complexity traditionally associated with implementing them. Rather than requiring integrators to coordinate multiple suppliers for engineering, configuration, installation and calibration, Quantum manages the process as a complete turnkey solution.

Each XDR5-8K installation includes factory engineering, custom system configuration, professional calibration and commissioning, along with on-site spare display modules for rapid serviceability, remote diagnostics and ongoing system support. This end-to-end approach gives integrators the ability to deliver sophisticated video environments with greater efficiency and confidence while helping ensure predictable performance throughout the life of the system.

“We consider ourselves part of the integration team,” Hoffman says. “Our role extends beyond providing the display. We want to help our dealers deliver an extraordinary experience from the first design conversation through installation, calibration and long-term ownership.”

Experience the XDR5-8K at CEDIA Expo

CEDIA Expo attendees can experience the XDR5-8K in Room 201, where native 8K content from Kaleidescape’s new 8K media player will showcase the system’s image fidelity, color accuracy, contrast and cinematic performance. TPI Aerospace’s Movement immersive audio system, engineered specifically for direct-view LED displays, will complement the XDR5-8K to create a complete luxury cinema experience.

Attendees can also experience Quantum technology at the Kaleidescape Booth #3706, where an impressive 18-foot-wide Quantum LED wall will be on display.

Demonstrations will run throughout the show, giving integrators, designers and luxury home technology professionals multiple opportunities to experience how Quantum’s turnkey LED wall solutions are redefining premium residential entertainment.
