Unveiled at CEDIA Expo, Quantum’s new ultra-fine-pitch LED panels bring native 8K clarity closer than ever for high-end home theaters.

LOS ANGELES, CA – August 31, 2025 — Continuing its tradition of redefining the boundaries of video wall performance, Quantum Media Systems announces a major breakthrough in fine-pitch LED technology with the introduction of an ultra-fine 0.7mm pixel pitch for its flagship XDR4-8K Extreme LED Wall. This marks the smallest pixel pitch ever achieved for a residential LED video wall, and, when combined with the display’s native 8K resolution, sets a new visual standard for luxury home entertainment.

“This is a huge leap forward,” says Ken Hoffman, owner of Quantum Media Systems. “Our new 0.7mm pixel pitch not only improves the clarity and realism of the image, it also transforms how close an audience can sit to the screen without any visible pixelation. With a traditional 1.2mm pitch, the optimal viewing distance is around 12 feet. With our 0.7mm pixel pitch, that distance is cut in half, to about 6 feet, without compromising image fidelity. It’s a game-changer for more intimate, high-performance home theaters.”

By reducing the space between each pixel, Quantum’s new 0.7mm panels produce smoother, more lifelike images with greater pixel density and a seamless viewing experience, regardless of screen size. Even at close range, viewers are enveloped by rich color, deep contrast, and cinematic detail that closely mirrors the performance found in professional Hollywood screening rooms.

Hoffman notes that in real-world applications, Quantum’s 0.7mm pixel pitch performs equivalently to or better than the industry’s 0.6mm alternatives. “Thanks to our proprietary engineering and superior calibration, our 0.7mm pixel pitch actually delivers in-field results that meet or exceed the visual quality of other brands’ 0.6mm claims,” he explains. “That means integrators can offer elite clients an even better solution, with less power consumption and improved reliability.”

The new 0.7mm pixel pitch was developed in direct response to integrator feedback and real-world installation demands. As the size and use-case of home theaters continue to diversify, from large, purpose-built spaces to smaller, multipurpose media rooms, this finer pitch enables the native 8K capabilities of the XDR4-8K Extreme LED Wall to shine in any environment.

“Pixel pitch is a critical factor in LED wall performance, especially in residential applications where viewers often sit closer to the screen than in commercial theaters,” adds Hoffman. “By setting a new benchmark at 0.7mm, Quantum is once again giving our integration partners a real competitive edge.”

In addition to this industry-first 0.7mm pixel pitch, the XDR4-8K Extreme LED Wall includes:

  • Native 8K resolution delivered via Quantum’s proprietary processing engine
  • 120Hz refresh rate and support for HDMI 2.1
  • 100% coverage of the P3 color space
  • 2,000-nit brightness with proprietary glare-free panels
  • Multi-image processing and automatic aspect ratio formatting
  • A complete white-glove delivery model, from sourcing to calibration to installation
