Leon’s Noah Kaplan discusses how to fuse technology into any room design during Design UnCut panel session; FrameBar Soundbar and TcFIT-U Mounting Solution showcased at Leon’s virtual booth.
[Ann Arbor, MI] – September 14, 2020 – As the number of smart devices and systems in homes continues to grow, it becomes increasingly important for designers and integrators to understand how to effectively fuse those technologies with a home’s décor and architecture. Leon, a leading manufacturer of design-friendly speakers, along with a panel of design and tech experts, will provide valuable insights, tips, and guidance to attendees during a live online discussion at CEDIA Expo Virtual, Sept. 17, from 4 to 4:45 p.m. EST. Co-sponsored by Leon, “Hidden in Plain Sight: How to Conceal Tech or Make a Statement with It” will offer designers and integration pros techniques for hiding displays, speakers, and other technologies, as well as ways to showcase those technologies artistically, as stunning visual components of the room design.
“Technology continues to play a vital role in homeowners’ lives, whether they’re using tech for enjoyment, work, or to help manage the household,” says Leon President Noah Kaplan. “Unfortunately, all too often the technology overpowers the room aesthetic, making the space feel more like a science lab than a comfortable, beautiful living area. Our goal with this panel session is to impart practical information that integrators and designers can use when working with clients on home tech projects.”
Co-hosted by Katye McGregor Bennett of KMB Communications and Veronika Miller of Modenus Media, as part of an ongoing series of Design UnCut webcasts, “Hidden in Plain Sight” establishes an open forum of communication between designers, integrators, and manufacturers. In addition to Kaplan, panelists include Brad Hintze, Senior Marketing Leader, Control4; Jamie Briesemeister, CEO and Co-Founder, Integration Controls; Rocky Settecasi, Systems Designer, TRIPhase Technologies; and Shanna Haecker, Owner and Designer, TRIPhase Technologies.

FrameBar for Samsung The Frame TV: Leveraging the good looks of the popular Samsung The Frame TV, Leon showcases at its virtual CEDIA Expo booth FrameBar, a discreet, ultra-thin soundbar designed to match the width and finish of The Frame TV to provide enhanced audio and an unobtrusive aesthetic. FrameBar is available in 2 models and is built-to-order to match the exact width of any model of The Frame TV 43” and above. A variation of Leon’s popular HzUT soundbar, it features 2.5” audiophile-grade woofers and 22mm cloth-dome tweeters in an ultra-thin cabinet only 2.375” deep that mounts flush to the wall. FrameBar comes in 4 finishes: White, Black, Brown, and Beige, to match The Frame finishes offered by Samsung, and it features flat moulding with an exposed cabinet edge on the front of the soundbar. While FrameBar ships standard with a black fabric grille cloth, there is the option to upgrade to a collection of designer grille fabrics to give the installation an even more customized look.
TcFIT-U Mounting Solution for Sonos: Offering integrators another soundbar solution that blends seamlessly with a flat-panel TV is the TcFIT-U. Designed specifically to beautifully house and mount any Sonos® soundbar to a TV, including the new Sonos Arc®, the TcFIT-U system includes a signature Leon custom grille and is built to match the exact width of the TV.
Developed with versatility in mind, the Tonecase FIT Universal comes in 3 models that offer adjustable depth to accommodate any Sonos soundbar, including the Beam, Playbar, and Arc. It mounts directly to any TV up to 98” diagonal using one of Leon’s undermount brackets, and the entire unit is covered with a custom-width fabric grille that comes standard in black with the option to upgrade to a collection of designer grille fabrics. TcFIT-U can be integrated into Leon’s Edge Media Frame, a product that encases a TV and soundbar with a contemporary frame that is available in a selection of wood and metallic finishes.
