[Ann Arbor, MI] – September 30, 2020 – Looking to find new ways to stay connected in a time of canceled events and social distancing, Leon announced today the launch of a new video series called Leon Live. The series will stream to Leon’s social media channels from their brand new, in-house broadcast studio, and will feature content ranging from new product releases to music performances and interviews, art and design inspiration, local community initiatives, and more.

Leon Live will kick-off on Thursday, October 1st at 7:45 pm EST on Facebook with an exclusive interview and short performance by Nashville musician, Devon Gilfillian, that will then lead into a livestream benefit concert at 8 pm that Devon is hosting called, “There’s An Election Going On”. The concert will feature Devon, a 10-piece band, and several guest artists covering Marvin Gaye’s iconic 1971 album “What’s Going On”, front-to-back. The event is raising funds for The Equity Alliance, a non-profit that fights voter suppression in low-income communities and communities of color and will be put on in partnership with HeadCount to help register voters during the concert.

“The DNA of Leon Speakers is all about sharing art and music, and while we can’t be together in person right now, we can still find creative ways to stay connected,” said Noah Kaplan, Leon’s Founder & President. “With Leon Live, we’ll be able to bring the Leon culture to you—wherever you are in the world—and we’re really excited to be kicking off the series with one of our favorite musicians and Leon Loft alumni artists, Devon Gilfillian.

Leon Ente SoundTile Now Available in 3 Models for Increased Design Versatility

Leon Ente SoundTile Now Available in 3 Models for Increased Design Versatility

With 2 new models added to line, Leon’s award-winning Ente SoundTile can be mixed and matched, offering integrators and designers multiple audio configurations.

[Ann Arbor, MI] – September 14, 2020 – Combining art and audio in one, Leon’s Ente SoundTile delivers reference-grade audio by Leon speakers powered by a Sonos Amp®, all elegantly concealed behind an artwork grille that makes the installation look more like a work of art than a sound system. First introduced at CEDIA Expo in 2019 to much industry accolade, the Ente SoundTile was originally only offered in a two-channel audio configuration. Now Leon has expanded the line to include one-channel and zero-channel options so that integrators can mix and match models to create diptychs, triptychs, and more with the artwork while keeping the sound and style consistent.

“We designed the Ente SoundTile to change the way that people think about architectural audio. Instead of having the speakers hidden away, we wanted them to be on display and actually add to the design of the space,” says Noah Kaplan, Leon Founder & President. “These new Ente models will give designers and integrators even more options to mix art with audio in any residential or commercial environment.”

The Ente SoundTile is resonating not only with integrators but also with the design community.  “I love the simplicity and style of the Ente SoundTile,” remarks Toni Sabatino, Owner of Toni Sabatino Style, Riverhead, N.Y. “The ease of listening to your playlist from a piece of beautiful art adds so much to the space.”

Available Models

Ente SoundTile: (1) Ente SoundTile with (2) channels of audio and (1) Sonos Amp designed for single SoundTile installation.

(New!) Ente SoundTile-1×2: (2) Ente SoundTiles with (1) channel of audio each and (1) Sonos Amp designed for installation of 2 or more SoundTiles.

(New!) Ente SoundTile-Zero: (1) Acoustic ArtTile without speakers or amplifier designed for installation of 3 or more SoundTiles.

The Ente SoundTile is handcrafted out of Baltic Birch and available in Matte Black or Matte White. It features reference-grade Leon ULTIMA speakers and a Sonos Amp (unless specifying Ente-SoundTile-Zero) and is covered with a perforated metal grille with screen printed artwork selected from either Rosentiel’s extensive gallery or Leon’s Artist Edition Collection that currently features fine art photography from renowned music photographer Roberto Rabanne.

Leon Connects Design and Integration Communities with Informative Live Panel Discussion, Plus Design-Forward Soundbars at CEDIA Expo Virtual, 2020

Leon Connects Design and Integration Communities with Informative Live Panel Discussion, Plus Design-Forward Soundbars at CEDIA Expo Virtual, 2020

Leon’s Noah Kaplan discusses how to fuse technology into any room design during Design UnCut panel session; FrameBar Soundbar and TcFIT-U Mounting Solution showcased at Leon’s virtual booth.

[Ann Arbor, MI] – September 14, 2020 – As the number of smart devices and systems in homes continues to grow, it becomes increasingly important for designers and integrators to understand how to effectively fuse those technologies with a home’s décor and architecture. Leon, a leading manufacturer of design-friendly speakers, along with a panel of design and tech experts, will provide valuable insights, tips, and guidance to attendees during a live online discussion at CEDIA Expo Virtual, Sept. 17, from 4 to 4:45 p.m. EST. Co-sponsored by Leon, “Hidden in Plain Sight: How to Conceal Tech or Make a Statement with It” will offer designers and integration pros techniques for hiding displays, speakers, and other technologies, as well as ways to showcase those technologies artistically, as stunning visual components of the room design.

“Technology continues to play a vital role in homeowners’ lives, whether they’re using tech for enjoyment, work, or to help manage the household,” says Leon President Noah Kaplan. “Unfortunately, all too often the technology overpowers the room aesthetic, making the space feel more like a science lab than a comfortable, beautiful living area. Our goal with this panel session is to impart practical information that integrators and designers can use when working with clients on home tech projects.”

Co-hosted by Katye McGregor Bennett of KMB Communications and Veronika Miller of Modenus Media, as part of an ongoing series of Design UnCut webcasts, “Hidden in Plain Sight” establishes an open forum of communication between designers, integrators, and manufacturers. In addition to Kaplan, panelists include Brad Hintze, Senior Marketing Leader, Control4; Jamie Briesemeister, CEO and Co-Founder, Integration Controls; Rocky Settecasi, Systems Designer, TRIPhase Technologies; and Shanna Haecker, Owner and Designer, TRIPhase Technologies.

Leon Introduces FrameBar, an Ultra-Thin Soundbar Designed to Match the Width & Finish of Samsung’s The Frame TV

A design-friendly solution for integrating high-end audio with The Frame, FrameBar
comes in two models and four finishes to blend in seamlessly with the TV.

[Ann Arbor, MI] – July 21, 2020 – While consumers love how Samsung’s The Frame looks more like an art piece than a TV, integrators have often struggled with how to add high-end audio to the installation. Leading soundbar manufacturer Leon Speakers announced today the launch of FrameBar, a discreet, ultra-thin soundbar that was designed to match the width and finish of The Frame TV, providing enhanced audio and an unobtrusive aesthetic.

“Our dealers have been asking us to design an audio solution for The Frame since it first hit the market and we’re excited to finally have a soundbar that was exclusively designed to pair with it,” said Noah Kaplan, Leon’s Founder and President. “We know that the appeal of The Frame is that it doesn’t look like a TV at all, so it was important to our design team to give FrameBar an ultra-modern look with multiple finish options while also keeping the design as minimalistic as possible.”

FrameBar is available in 2 models and is built-to-order to match the exact width of any model of The Frame TV 43” and above. A variation of Leon’s popular HzUT soundbar, it features 2.5” audiophile-grade woofers and 22mm cloth-dome tweeters in an ultra-thin cabinet only 2.375” deep that mounts flush to the wall. FrameBar is currently available to order and now shipping to Leon’s network of dealers worldwide.

Leon Brings Sound + Style to CEDIA 2019 with Art-Inspired Innovations

With a new booth design that feels more like an art gallery than a trade show booth, Leon continues to set themselves apart by bringing creativity to the AV industry.

[Ann Arbor, MI] – August 13, 2019 – Continuing to push the boundaries of merging design with technology, Leon is bringing a creative approach to their CEDIA booth (#2943) this year that will inspire integrators and interior designers alike. Featuring products from their collection that deliver sound and style, their booth will be set up with an art-gallery-style layout, showcasing their customizable speakers for indoor and outdoor use, Media Décor TV frames and Moving Art Screens, their full line of design-friendly integration solutions for Sonos®, and of course, the company’s restored 1967 Airstream—with a new biophilic design.

Products Not to Miss:

Ente for SONOS AMP: Launched earlier this year, Leon’s new Ente Series was designed in partnership with Sonos as a line of lifestyle products powered by the SONOS AMP®. On display will be the Ente Sound Sculpture, a wall-hanging sculptural piece that incorporates sound and lighting, the Ente Soundbar that features a sleek Baltic Birch cabinet and a stylized center grill, and the Ente SoundTile that conceals the speakers and amplifier behind an artwork grill. The Ente SoundTiles on display at CEDIA will feature custom artwork from New-York artist Gabriel Urist and photographs from famed music photographer Roberto Rabanne.

Edge Media Frame: Inspired by midcentury media furnishings, Leon’s Edge Media Frame encases any TV and soundbar in one simple design that frames all sides of the display and is finished to match the design elements in any room. At this year’s show, Leon will be showing a number of Edge options in a variety of custom finishes, including a new model that incorporates their Profile Series sidemount speakers and linear metal bar grills.

The Redesigned Terra LuminSound—Outdoor Sound + Lighting in One: Incorporating LED lighting and sound in one compact, waterproof enclosure, Leon’s Terra LuminSound provides adjustable path or landscape lighting with aimable, high-fidelity sound. Perfect for pool areas, pathways, and more, the redesigned models have a sleek new look that features a streamlined aluminum enclosure and a hexagonal mount plate.

Décor Grills: Completely rethinking the grill, Leon’s Décor Grills allow integrators to seamlessly blend speakers into any environment. Décor Grills can incorporate custom fabrics and materials, or they can be custom-painted to match any color, or custom-printed with patterns, textures, and even logos and graphics
