Meridian continues to enhance and optimize its award-winning Meridian Sooloos streaming audio platform, with the latest version to be shown at 2016 CEDIA, booth #5708. The latest iteration provides custom installers with the most flexible, highest performance, and most cost-effective streaming music system offering to-date. New additions include a plug-in that enables third-party Network Attached Storage (NAS) integration, a range of significant performance and hardware enhancements, and extended control options to embrace redesigned iPhone and iPad applications and TouchPC control alongside third-party control system integration.

Fully flexible and scalable in terms of zones and systems, Meridian Sooloos is a music cataloguing, metadata system, comprising control, network, hard drive storage, a core operating system, and audio source / end point. Meridian Sooloos can now be integrated using Meridian Core storage options (with integrated end point) or a supported NAS device, through a special QNAP plugin, giving the installer the freedom to specify their preferred storage product.
Free Meridian Sooloos control applications are available for iPhone, iPad, and any PC or MAC through the company’s flagship TouchPC application, which optimizes access to the Sooloos interface for touch screen PCs with a 1920 x 1080 screen size. Meridian Sooloos can also be integrated with third-party Crestron and Control4 home automation control systems for total simplicity and convenience. The Sooloos music library can also be ‘watched’ by third-party music control apps, while the rich metadata and audio performance provided by the system is preserved.
Sooloos is designed to send the optimum signal to each end point via high performance analog, digital (DSP), and Speakerlink cross platform outputs. Integrated TuneIn Radio alongside streaming from TIDAL and Napster/Rhapsody enable clients to curate their own exclusive music collection very quickly and easily so they can build a comprehensive library.
