FORTRESS Seating Showcases New Designs, Smart Technology, Exceptional Styling and Premium Features to CEDIA 2016
Handcrafted, premium-quality home theater, media room, accent, and lifestyle seating delivers long-lasting comfort
La Verne, CA & Dallas, TX, (Sept. 6, 2016) — FORTRESS Seating, leader in home theater, media room, residential and corporate seating, will be displaying a wide range of handcrafted, custom-designed chair models during CEDIA in booth #5315. An award-winning manufacturer of bespoke upholstered furniture and home theater seating, FORTRESS delivers exceptional seating solutions that address and resolve the most demanding requirements, setting the standard for innovative design, complete customization, and exceptional fit and finish.
Making its debut at CEDIA, FORTRESS Smart Chair technology is expected to cause quite a stir. Incorporating technology that can be integrated into any FORTRESS model, the new FORTRESS Smart Chair can be easily included into popular home automation, lighting, and control systems. The Smart Chair also detects human occupancy. Not only can systems be programmed to trigger automated responses based on human motion or movement taking place in the chair such as sitting or standing, the smart chair can sense obstacles and will cease all motorized functions or movement. Representing a significant advancement in the seating category, FORTRESS’ new Smart Chair offers integration professionals and technologists smart, safety-oriented features that can be integrated throughout the home, not just the theater or media room. Furthermore, the FORTRESS Smart Chair represents a unique opportunity for the residential marketplace.
FORTRESS will also feature a Fully Loaded, Three-Seat Unit, a fresh new spin for an age-old problem: not enough space in the showroom or experience center. Incorporating three different models and the most popular accessories into a single unit, this Three-seater is the perfect solution for demo rooms, showrooms, and design and experience centers. This seating unit includes a motorized tray table, reading light, retractable touch screen, concealed cup holder, sliding arm, front access cup holder, storage compartment, pillow back, and taller seat back, but like all FORTRESS models, each one can be customized to meet the buyer’s specifications.
Providing a virtual seating showroom for integrators and technology professionals to peruse during CEDIA, FORTRESS will showcase an assortment of the company’s most popular models—all of which are completely customizable and build to specification. Below are many of the models that will be shown in FORTRESS booth 5315.
Featuring sophisticated styling, Luxtan black leather, motorized recline, and a polished steel sled base, the FORTRESS Metro chair remains a favorite with integrators, designers, and homeowners alike. With sleek lines and subtle simplicity, Metro is well suited for a wide variety of residential environments not limited to dedicated home theater or media room applications.
Combining a bold and beautiful blend of rich walnut wood veneer and polished steel arm detail, the FORTRESS Alexa model is a sight to behold. The result of FORTRESS’ unwavering commitment to handcrafting and long-lasting seating solutions using only the finest materials to deliver a premium product, Alexa is a popular solution for integrators, designers, and homeowners who seek to combine comfort and contemporary styling in any room of the house.
Originally designed for use in home cinema applications, the FORTRESS Valenti has found its way into almost every other room in the house. Featuring an intriguing geometric back and arm detail with the combination of supple leathers and rich wood veneers like exotic Macassar Ebony from Indonesia, the result is a stunning yet comfortable seat.
Designed as a contemporary seating solution to complement surrounding décor and to blend with other design elements, the FORTRESS Bel Aire has a considerable fan-base of integrators, designers, and homeowners alike. Featuring a semi-attached back, smooth, seamless lines, and a subtle sophistication, the Bel Aire is a stylish addition to any room.
Featuring elegant lines and finely crafted wood detail, the Uptown model is just plain good looking. Ideal for library or media room use as well as dedicated home theaters, this model is a favorite in the FORTRESS lineup.
With a unique open arm detail accented with metal posts and matching cup holders, Odéon exudes contemporary style with a European flair while delivering incredible comfort worthy of a double-feature.
Clean, contemporary lines and sleek styling make the Madison a long-standing design favorite for more than 40 years running. Featuring ergonomic comfort and high-end design, this model is at home in the theater, media room, or any room in the house.
When the conversation ceases and the movie begins, head pillows lift and footrests extend at the push of a button to convert this casual lounge chair into the perfect theater chair. A contemporary new design with motorized adjustable headrest that raises 4 inches to accommodate all body heights.
Delivering comfort worthy of a full-length feature, the Palladium provides a beautiful blend of traditional elegance and contemporary linear styling, coupled with long-lasting comfort.
Timeless, traditional elegance is delivered with the ever-popular Guild chair. Plush to the touch, attention to detail, and incredible comfort, the Guild harkens back to another time.
A deep, high back model with tapered, rolled arms and plush back and seat cushions, El Dorado delivers a versatile solution for any room of the house. Featuring western-inspired design with nail head trim and long-lasting comfort made possible by the use of premium-quality, highly durable materials, it’s no surprise how popular this model is.
The concept for this sectional came about when custom integrator New Land Solutions in the UK needed to convert a living room into a theater, and then back again. In this situation, there was a need to produce a sofa that would ride on a motorized track, and not only did the large sofa dimensions need to be exact but the weight also had to be controlled, so the entire sofa could be moved.
FORTRESS specializes in completely customized seating solutions that transcend the traditional. Features like motorized incline, reading lights, motorized tray tables, retractable touchscreens, concealed, sliding cup holders, power outlets and USB ports are common additions that increase the line’s versatility and showcase the benefits of the FORTRESS line even further.
