Torus Power Demonstrates the Importance of Automatic Voltage Regulation Technology in AVR2 Series Toroidal Isolation Transformers at ISE 2017
Across the world, Torus Power’s toroidal isolation transformers create significant performance improvements in today’s best audiovisual systems
Toronto, ON, Canada and Amsterdam, Netherlands —January 2017 – Torus Power, maker of uncompromising, clean, isolation transformer-based power components, announced it will showcase its Automatic Voltage Regulation 2 series models, the AVR2 8 CE and AVR2 16 CE, for international audiences at ISE 2017.
Torus Power’s toroidal isolation transformers are used in high-performance residential, commercial, and professional applications to power, protect, and significantly improve the quality and performance of electronic systems installations large and small. The transformers, unlike any other offering in the power category, provide superior isolation, voltage regulation at the source, and outstanding protection against power dips, sags, and surges, in any circumstance. Integrators touring ISE should take time to view the Torus Power products on display in the AV EMEA stand, #5-R125.
Clean Power Provides Crystal Clear, High Quality Sound and Video
High-end audio visual and control system equipment connected to Torus Power isolation transformers receive a consistent supply of isolated, clean, stable power, which reduces hum and buzz to help produce crystal clear sound and video. In addition, delicate components are protected from power fluctuations which can harm the equipment.
Completely customizable, Torus Power products are available across the world, including North America, continental Europe, the U.K., Asia, and Australia. The lineup meets both IEC and Neutrik standards, and shelf, rack, and wall mount configurations are available throughout the line for added versatility. Most models can be custom specified to perfectly suit nearly any application.
The AVR2: Top Choice for Large, High-End Applications
Built around Plitron’s proprietary toroidal isolation technology, the AVR2 Series is a top choice of international audiences seeking the best in clean, instantaneous power and a host of other features, including Automatic Voltage Regulation, Series Mode Surge suppression, and Ethernet connectivity. Designed for large-scale custom installations such as professional studios, critical listening environments, healthcare facilities, commercial theaters, luxury private cinemas, and other high performance applications, the AVR2 units power and protect equipment in the most demanding environments.
Like other Torus Power transformers, the AVR2 CE models, available in 8 or 16 outlet configurations, isolate electrical currents from the main grid to power and protect electronic components for superior performance. Series Mode Surge suppression works by safely and effectively suppressing power surges without raising ground voltage, to deliver clean, consistent power for better audio and video signals. Innovative Automatic Voltage Regulation technology provides stable voltage to keep international units running within +/-10V of the optimal range, from 220V up to 240V, regardless of electric grid conditions.
Built as the most feature-rich models in the Torus Power line up, the AVR2 8 CE and AVR2 16 CE contain all the functionality of the popular AVR series, adding enhanced Ethernet (IP) control and monitoring capabilities, as well as individually addressable outlet zones (up to 5 individual zones in 15 Amp and 20 Amp models, and up to 8 individual zones in 60 and 100 Amp models), power-up sequencing with selectable delay time between zones, and an automatic reboot feature permitting remote restart of routers and modems if the Internet connection is lost. In addition to shelf or rack mount units, the AVR2 series is available in a wall mount configuration for greater flexibility in projects with dedicated wiring. Easy for electricians or custom integrators to install, the wall mount unit is an effortless choice for power protection in larger applications.
