AVR ELITE platform is more efficient and offers higher performance, plus remote configuration, monitoring, and control from any web browser.
TORONTO, ON, CANADA (September 14, 2020) Torus Power Inc. will be showcasing its new AVR ELITE featuring Torus Power Connect Cloud-based monitoring and control, at the virtual CEDIA Expo September 15-17, 2020. Introduced earlier this year, this top-of-the-line model offers the ultimate combination of isolation-transformer-enhanced power management and remote capabilities. The AVR ELITE serves as a power control system for high-performance audio-video systems. It features new PCB designs, a powerful 32-bit processor, a separate power supply board for a higher-quality audio path, a larger LCD display, and tighter voltage regulation.
The AVR ELITE offers the new Torus Power Connect power control system for remote configuration, control, and monitoring. This feature delivers unprecedented functionality that makes integrators’ jobs easier than ever and facilitates offsite or touchless environment requirements by providing visibility into the system through secure access. The cloud-based system for control, programming, data logging, and reporting allows installers to remotely monitor and respond to user issues and to control and reboot power zones. The Torus Power Connect app works with all mobile devices and tablets and features an Installer Dashboard for power control of single or multiple installations. Updates and feature enhancements are easy to install thanks to Wi-Fi connectivity, allowing the integrator to keep the AVR ELITE up to date and performing optimally, without visiting the site.
In addition to this powerful new feature, the AVR ELITE also features Torus Power’s renowned technology. Isolation Transformers go beyond traditional power conditioners and surge protectors by decoupling and isolating sensitive electronic components from the power source to eliminate transients and improve audio quality. Torus Power isolation transformers dramatically lower the noise floor while adding better dynamics, imaging, and bass. Video is noticeably crisper with brighter colors, deeper blacks, better contrast, and a more captivating overall image. Connected components are also protected from surges, spikes, and brownouts, ensuring systems continue to perform as intended despite harmful power conditions.
Torus Power’s High Current capability provides performance improvements that can be seen and heard in all AV systems. Advanced Automatic Voltage Regulation protects against voltage fluctuations, accepting 85V to 135V and automatically shutting down when the voltage exceeds threshold, then automatically restarting when voltage returns to the normal threshold. Series Mode Surge Suppression protects expensive equipment from power line damage.

To incorporate today’s hottest technology and stunning design is both a challenge and a delicate balance. Nobody understands this better than those in the tech integration or design-build communities. For years, these two fundamentally different industries have tried to create cohesive home environments that are functionally and aesthetically on point yet also have technology integrated in such a way as to complement or enhance one’s lifestyle. Despite the best of intentions, though, challenges persist: Designers and integrators speak two very different languages, approach projects from different perspectives, and often have different agendas. It doesn’t need to be a disjointed relationship. By bridging the communications gaps between the design and integration communities, critical collaboration can occur, resulting in well-designed smart home projects that are efficiently deployed and satisfy customers’ appetites for dwellings that are comfortable, convenient, and beautiful.

In the Design UnCut panel session, “Hidden In Plain Sight: How to Conceal Tech or Make a Statement With It,” TriPhase Technologies shares a project in which Leon Speakers were customized to function as a decorative accent in a bookshelf while filling the space with music.
But how do designers and integrators build a mutually beneficial business strategy? Finding common ground and committing to transparent, open communication is a good first step. Control4 and Leon Speakers, along with Veronika Miller, founder of Modenus Media, and Katye McGregor Bennett, founder of KMB Communications, get the conversation started during the CEDIA Expo Virtual Experience, Sept. 16 and 17, during two informative Design UnCut live panel sessions.
Sponsored by Control4, “Home Tech Top 10: Products Designers Need to Know About,” provides designers with recommendations from leading home technology integrators and manufacturers on specific smart products and systems that can blend in, disappear within, or complement a home design. Loudspeakers from Leon, for example, not only sound great but resemble stunning pieces of art. Similarly, voice control capabilities built-into automation systems such as those from Control4 can reduce the need for the handheld remote controls that typically clutter coffee tables. Experts on the panel, held live online, Sept. 16, 10-10:45 a.m. ET, include Jamie Briesemeister, CEO and sales and marketing director at Integration Controls, Brad Hintze, senior director of product marketing at Control4, and Ed Gilmore, owner of Gilmore’s Sound Advice.
After learning about the many design-forward smart home solutions available today, CEDIA attendees can go a step further and uncover in a second Design Uncut session innovative home tech concealment techniques practiced by integrators. Co-sponsored by Leon Speakers, “Hidden in Plain Sight: How to Conceal Tech or Make a Statement With It” goes undercover and in the field to explore creative ways to completely hide technology, as well as ways to showcase technology artistically as stunning visual components of the room design. During the session, held Sept. 17, 4-4:55 ET, experienced integrators from around the country share techniques employed on specific projects, such as TRIPhase Technologies’ unique implementation of custom-designed, octagon-shaped Leon speakers as accent pieces in a large built-in bookshelf. In addition to TRIPhase Technologies’ integrator/designer team of Rocky Settecasi and Shanna Haecker, panelists include Noah Kaplan, president of Leon Speakers, Ed Gilmore, owner of Gilmore’s Sound Advice, and Alexandra Centeno and Angel Centeno of SDI Boston.
Produced as part of an ongoing series of Design UnCut webcasts, the two CEDIA Expo panel sessions each wrap up with a Q&A for audience members to pose questions and gain deeper insights. Pre-registration is required: Go here to register for Home Tech Top 10: Products Designers Need to Know About and here for Hidden in Plain Sight: How to Conceal Tech or Make a Statement With It.

With 2 new models added to line, Leon’s award-winning Ente SoundTile can be mixed and matched, offering integrators and designers multiple audio configurations.
[Ann Arbor, MI] – September 14, 2020 – Combining art and audio in one, Leon’s Ente SoundTile delivers reference-grade audio by Leon speakers powered by a Sonos Amp®, all elegantly concealed behind an artwork grille that makes the installation look more like a work of art than a sound system. First introduced at CEDIA Expo in 2019 to much industry accolade, the Ente SoundTile was originally only offered in a two-channel audio configuration. Now Leon has expanded the line to include one-channel and zero-channel options so that integrators can mix and match models to create diptychs, triptychs, and more with the artwork while keeping the sound and style consistent.
“We designed the Ente SoundTile to change the way that people think about architectural audio. Instead of having the speakers hidden away, we wanted them to be on display and actually add to the design of the space,” says Noah Kaplan, Leon Founder & President. “These new Ente models will give designers and integrators even more options to mix art with audio in any residential or commercial environment.”
The Ente SoundTile is resonating not only with integrators but also with the design community. “I love the simplicity and style of the Ente SoundTile,” remarks Toni Sabatino, Owner of Toni Sabatino Style, Riverhead, N.Y. “The ease of listening to your playlist from a piece of beautiful art adds so much to the space.”
Available Models
