Torus Power Presents Power Management and Conditioning Course at ISE 2018

Gain a better understanding of proper power conditioning in order to deliver clean, stable power to AV systems for improved sound clarity and image fidelity

Toronto, ON, Canada (January 2018) Torus Power, maker of uncompromising, clean, isolation transformer-based power components, together with Erdmann Electric, Inc. Springville, UT-based electrical contractor, presents a CEDIA training session on power management and power conditioning at ISE 2018.

The 90-minute course, Power Management and Conditioning, will take place Thursday, February 8, 2018, at 11:30 AM (Local Time) in room D202 of the RAI Exhibition and Convention Center in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Taught by Ken Erdmann of Erdmann Electric and Torus Power CEO and President Kevin Main, the Power Management and Conditioning class will give home technology professionals and other AV integrators a better understanding of proper power conditioning for electronic systems, the causes of electrical noise and surges, and essential grounding requirements for any size system.

Attendees will leave with practical knowledge and actionable insights, as they explore real-life scenarios requiring examination and resolution under the guidance of exemplary industry experts.

Learn How to Apply Effective Power Products in Any Installation
The course will cover the appropriate methods of effective power conditioning, as well as how to handle phase and polarity issues. Attendees will learn how to implement grounding requirements pertinent to voltage regulators, surge protectors, and uninterrupted power supplies. They will learn the difference between power conditioning and power isolation, and the equipment requirements for each.

Become a Pro in Power Management, Troubleshooting, and More
At the end of the course, students should be able to diagnose the sources of electrical noise and surges in circuits, determine the reasons for power quality issues, such as over/under voltages, brownouts, spikes and sags, and demonstrate the use of code-approved power conditioning methods in any size application.

Understand Power to Improve the Quality of Today’s High Resolution AV Systems
“Clean power is essential to achieving the highest quality sound and video from today’s systems. Yet, it’s an often-misunderstood topic,” says Torus Power President and CEO Kevin Main. “This course will teach integrators how to troubleshoot power problems and apply the appropriate, code-approved power management methods to enhance the overall reliability and performance quality of the systems they install.”

Torus Power Targets Mid-Range Market with New POWERBLOCK Isolation Transformers

New POWERBLOCK lineup preview at ISE 2018 showcases benefits of toroidal isolation power conditioning and management

Toronto, ON, Canada (January 30, 2018) Torus Power, maker of uncompromising, clean, isolation transformer-based power components for AV systems, will unveil an entirely new product line at ISE 2018 booth February 6 – 9, 2018 in the RAI Amsterdam. With the introduction of POWERBLOCK (PB Series) toroidal isolation transformers with compact footprints and rugged construction, Torus Power brings its unrivaled performance and protection to a new market of home theater enthusiasts and audiophiles.

A differentiated mid-range line to accommodate smaller AV systems and the need to isolate high-performance source equipment, Torus Power brings the benefits of toroidal isolation to any home theater or two-channel audio system where the owner is seeking clean power to enhance audio and video performance.

Torus Power products magnetically isolate equipment from dirty AC power to dramatically reduce the noise floor, enhance the dynamic range, and improve the soundstage and headroom to elevate the audio experience. In high-end video systems, power isolation increases clarity, creating brighter colors and blacker blacks.

Also, Torus Power toroidal isolation transformers protect systems from the effects of power surges and spikes that can damage delicate AV equipment.

Isolated Components Deliver Superior Audio and Video Quality and Protection
The new POWERBLOCK PB 4 CE for the European market and the POWERBLOCK PB 4 515R, which will be available in Southeast Asia, isolate outlet pairs to separate source components from power components for a cleaner signal, resulting in an enhanced audio video experience.

PB 4 CE and PB 4 515R models are designed for 50 Hz markets using 220V – 240V and boast a small footprint weighing just 35 lbs., making them easy to fit in any home system.

Every Project Deserves Quality Sound and Video
For smaller applications where it’s only necessary to protect a few source components, speakers, a TV, or a projector, the PB 2 CE and PB 2 515R offer enough outlets to plug in the most expensive AV equipment in a system, protecting these components and improving the audio video quality within a limited budget.

Like their slightly larger counterparts, the PB 2 CE and PB 2 515R operate at 50 to 60 Hz with an input voltage between 220V – 240V, and weigh just 25 lbs. each.

Protecting AV Investments
High-end projects demand the ultimate in power protection. But even smaller systems represent a significant investment to their owners. The introduction of the POWERBLOCK series makes it possible to power and protect any size system with Torus Power’s proprietary technology.

“We’ve taken a virtual ‘shrink ray’ to our big and heavy toroidal transformer, enabling us to offer a lightweight, compact unit that powers and protects AV components in applications where our full-size power products aren’t necessary,” says Torus Power COO and President Kevin Main. “The benefits to isolating power for a clean signal to dramatically improve audio and video performance are well-documented. Now even smaller home theater systems and two-channel audio applications can enjoy enhanced performance and superior protection.”

Torus Power Demonstrates Full Line of Toroidal Isolation Transformers for Superior Audio/Video Quality at ISE 2018

Designed to deliver clean, steady power, Torus Power isolation transformers come in sizes for any application

Toronto, ON, Canada (January 2018) Torus Power, maker of uncompromising, clean, isolation transformer-based power components, will showcase a comprehensive line-up of toroidal isolation transformers at ISE 2018, taking place February 6 – 9, 2018 at the RAI Exhibition and Convention Center in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Built in a variety of configurations to accommodate the needs of two-channel audio systems, professional recording studios, and large-scale commercial AV applications, Torus’ toroidal isolation transformers power, protect, and provide a stable platform for AV systems to achieve their highest possible performance. Audio comes alive with a lower noise floor, better dynamics, imaging and bass, and video is notably crisper with brighter colors, deeper blacks, and a more compelling overall image.

Today’s AV Systems Need Clean, Consistent Power to Perform
Today’s high-resolution audio and video systems require Hi-Res Power, the industry standard for clean power, to deliver Hi-Res audio and video. Using technology such as Series Mode Surge Suppression and noise filtering through proprietary narrow bandwidth technology (NBT), Torus Power products help today’s sophisticated audio-visual components deliver superior performance.

Variable grid conditions can adversely affect sound and image quality and shorten the life of AV equipment. Torus Power AVR units, including the AVR CE, AVR CE2, and TOT AVR, employ automatic voltage regulation to provide superior protection from voltage sags, surges, and brownouts.. AVR units keep connected equipment within the optimal operating range of 220 – 240 VAC +/-10V regardless of line voltage fluctuations.

Experience the Difference Hi-Res Power Makes at ISE ISE attendees can experience the difference clean power makes in a real-life setting at stand #5-R125. Torus Power will showcase the following isolation transformers:

Torus Power at ISE 2018

AVR CE / AVR2 CE – Stacked with features, including Ethernet control and IP addressability for remote monitoring and management, the AVR CE and AVR2 CE isolation transformers enhance the performance of any AV system, while protecting from surges, spikes, and brownouts that can be caused by a variable grid.
