Access NetworksCEDIA Attendees invited to see new lineup of Access Networks Wireless access points and a wireless controller all powered by Ruckus, new custom Core systems, and learn benefits of new integrations and partnerships

Los Angeles, CA (August 2018) – Access Networks, the premier enterprise-grade networking solutions provider for the modern smart home, is celebrating a transformational year as it sets it sights on CEDIA 2018. There, Access Networks will showcase its new and proprietary lineup of Access Networks Wireless access points and a wireless controller all powered by Ruckus, new custom Core systems, and will be sharing details of new integrations and enhanced partnerships with major players in the AV and IT industries.

Access Networks expands offering with lower priced enterprise-grade options
A long time Crestron I2P partner, Access Networks now offers pre-configured Core Systems solutions optimized for Crestron NVX deployments as part of a new integration between the two companies (read more about that here). Through this integration, Access Networks’ Core2 and Core3 custom-programmed networking solutions are now certified to work seamlessly with Crestron’s DM-NVX Series of AV-over-IP encoders/decoders to provide the high bandwidth and low latency today’s video distribution systems need. Access Networks’ Core2 and Core3 Systems are comprised of a router, an Access Networks C120 wireless controller, a core Ruckus ICX switch, and a Helix monitoring device with proactive service.

New, lower-priced options available
Now available, Access Networks Wireless is a range of best-in-class wireless networking products with patented technology designed and manufactured for Access Networks by Ruckus Networks. Consisting of access points and a wireless controller, Access Networks Wireless offers lower price points and more effective support options, as well as the ability for integrators to increase both the performance and profitability of their residential network deployments. For instance, Access Networks Wireless components come with four years of support for no additional charge. The wireless controller includes eight access point licenses and additional licenses are available for purchase one at a time. The list goes on.

A Finalist in the 2018 CEDIA Best New Hardware Product Awards, Access Networks Core2 and Core3 pre-programmed systems provide customization capabilities to meet the needs of any home integration project, large or small. Core2 is a flat (or, layer-2) network core with a single IP scheme for the entire scope of the project. Core3 is a multiple-VLAN (or, layer-3) network with up to six pre-configured VLANs for network segmentation. Core systems include one year of their proactive Live Monitoring service, giving integrators the opportunity to generate recurring monthly revenue and exceed their clients’ expectations with a superior level of proactive customer service.

Access Networks Hosts CEDIA Expo Training Sessions, Revealing Insider Network Tips to Enhance the User Experience

Access Networks’ in-depth CEDIA Expo Training Sessions teach integrators why enterprise-grade gear matters, about the importance of the network core, and how to manage Video over IP

Los Angeles, CA (August 2018) – Access Networks, the premier enterprise-grade networking solutions provider for the modern smart home, is offering valuable training sessions on Wednesday, September 5 and Thursday, September 6, 2018, during CEDIA Expo. Open for registration now, these CEDIA Expo Training Sessions are free of charge and integrators who attend will learn why enterprise-grade networks are a must, about the importance of the network coAccess Networksre, and the significant role video over IP plays in today’s homes, all while earning CEDIA CEU credits.

Learn How Network Design Affects Video Over IP
Video over IP has taken the industry by storm. In media rooms, living rooms, bedrooms, and home theaters, consumers are enjoying the on-demand capabilities of Video over IP as they “cut-the-cord” on cable services. It is vitally important for integrators to understand how Video over IP technology works and how network design has changed because of the increased bandwidth demands of Video over IP.

In this 90-minute training session taught by technical trainer, Nathan Holmes, attendees will learn the intricacies of Video over IP, why it is so important in today’s homes, and how streaming video affects network design for integrators.

Attendees will learn:

  • How multicast traffic differs from ethernet traffic
  • Why true enterprise-grade networking hardware leads to profitability with Video over IP
  • How to develop robust network designs that support Video over IP
  • Basic troubleshooting tips for Video over IP installations

Getting to the Core of Video Over IP takes place Wednesday, September 5th, in Room 9 at 10:00 am, and again Thursday, September 6th, in Room 8 at 10:00 am.

Peeling Back the Layers of a Network Core with Access Networks
As the number of network devices, the amount of data they transmit, and client cyber-security concerns have increased, so has the need for quality networks that adequately address these bandwidth and security requirements.

In this intense three-hour CEDIA Expo Training Session taught by technical trainer, Nathan Holmes, attendees will learn how different technologies use network resources and how to properly develop networks that not only support these technologies but also enhance the client experience. A robust and reliable network Core is the key to superior network performance and, ultimately, customer satisfaction.

The in-depth course discusses the following:

  • Taking a layered approach to networking by applying the OSI model
  • How you approach the layers you control can significantly affect the performance of Layers you don’t
  • How data travels through your LAN
  • When and how to use VLANs
  • How Wi-Fi traffic can significantly decrease hardwire LAN performance
  • How to leverage enterprise-grade benefits to enhance the consumer experience
  • Best practice network designs

Peeling Back the Layers of the Network Core takes place Wednesday, September 5th in Room 9 at 1:00 pm and Thursday, September 6th Room 4 at 1:00 pm.

“Network requirements are changing rapidly, and it’s important for today’s CEDIA members to keep pace. The network core is the heart of the smart home, and knowing how to integrate and manage it effectively increases customer satisfaction and improves profitability for integrators. These CEDIA training courses give integrators the tools and information they need to address common network challenges in any size home,” says Access Networks Technical Trainer Nathan Holmes.

Those interested in attending any of the training sessions noted above are encouraged to register in advance:
