Access Networks Releases Enterprise-Grade Wi-Fi 6 Certified Wireless Access Point

Access Networks Releases Enterprise-Grade Wi-Fi 6 Certified Wireless Access Point

New A750 wireless access point from Access Networks offers the first Wi-Fi 6 certified access point delivered exclusively to residential integrators supported by the leader in custom high- performance network solutions.

LOS ANGELES, CA (March 24, 2020) – Access Networks, the premier enterprise-grade networking solutions provider, continues to evolve its offerings to deliver the right networking products at the right price, at the right time. Its newest addition to its extensive lineup of networking products is a Wi-Fi 6 certified wireless access point that bridges the performance gap from ‘gigabit’ Wi-Fi to ‘multi-gigabit’ Wi-Fi to support the insatiable demand for better and faster Wi-Fi.

The release of the A750 is perfectly timed, as current events have forced millions of families to maintain their work and school obligations online for several weeks if not months. Struggling with the bandwidth limitations of their home networks, consumers can benefit immensely from a Wi-Fi 6 networking solution. The Access Networks A750 provides dealers with a way to begin upgrading customers’ homes simply and affordably.

“Access Networks is committed to helping customers maintain a semblance of normalcy during these uncertain times,” says Access Networks CSO, Bryce Nordstrand. “The introduction of a Wi-Fi 6 certified access point, which ensures optimal performance of multiple devices on the network at the same time, is a huge benefit to families who rely on Wi-Fi to stay connected, engaged, and productive. Together with our dealers, we can help households overcome some of the hardships and hurdles associated with staying at home.”

The A750 can manage up to 1024 client connections with increased capacity and improved coverage. This capability is particularly useful for ultra-dense environments where the proximity of many individual Wi-Fi networks often impedes performance. Additionally, the A750 connects more devices simultaneously with built-in 8 spatial streams (4X4:4 in GHz and 2.4GHz), MU-MIMO, OFDMA technology, and provides over 4,000 unique antenna patterns.

A fully functional Wi-Fi 6 network requires that all devices on the network are Wi-Fi 6-compliant. However, Access Networks Director of Training & Development Nathan Holmes, points out the A750 can still communicate with legacy Wi-Fi devices. It just won’t support the multi-device communications features inherent to Wi-Fi 6-compliant components. “This interoperability between legacy and new devices means that your transition to Wi-Fi 6 can be gradual,” continues Holmes. “You can start by swapping out wireless access points in the most popular areas of a home, like a kitchen or family room, then add more Wi-Fi 6 access points and devices over time.”

Certified by the Wi-Fi Alliance as Wi-Fi CERTIFIED 6, the A750 validates seamless interoperability with other Wi-Fi CERTIFIED 6 devices and achieves multi-gigabit access speeds by using a built-in 2.5GbE port to connect to multi-gigabit switches. It also features the latest Wi-Fi security standard, WPA3, for enhanced security of devices on the network.

Industry veteran brings vast technical knowledge and sales insight to Access Networks.

LOS ANGELES, CA (February 20, 2020) Access Networks, the premier enterprise-grade networking solutions provider for residential and commercial markets welcomes Michael “Willy” Williams to Access Networks’ sales team. Selected to support dealers in equipping customers with enterprise-grade networking gear, Williams brings his vast technical expertise, industry knowledge, and enthusiasm to his new role as Sales Manager. He will be responsible for interfacing with and driving sales from dealers, buying groups and manufacturer rep firms east of the Mississippi.

Williams offers a combination of technical expertise and sales experience, having previous roles as sales manager for Screen Innovations, SnapAV, Savant, and Nortek.  Prior to these positions, Williams designed and installed a variety of smart home solutions for a systems integration firm in Dallas. As a results-oriented sales manager, he combines a passion for products, sharp technical knowledge, and exceptional client relations skills to ensure a positive client experience. This type of sales approach enables consistent increases in territory sales and overall client base.

“I’m excited and honored to be part of the Access Networks team and to develop strong working relationships with new and existing dealers,” says Williams. “At the same time, I hope to strengthen Access Networks’ position as a leading networking provider and a reliable resource for dealers who need assistance designing and servicing high-quality networks.

Having previously worked for two control companies in the smart home space, Williams acknowledges the need for enterprise-grade networking systems, like those offered by Access Networks to the viability and performance of a smart home environment. “These types of systems simply don’t work unless they have a strong networking backbone,” he says. “I have seen first-hand how networking relates to control and can share these insights with home systems integrators.”

In addition to Williams, the Access Networks team continues to add highly-skilled engineers and support staff to both their East and West Coast locations. The new team members will help Access Networks continue to develop innovative networking solutions and refine its managed service and support to integrators.

Access Networks Introduces New Client Services Department; New Domain Name

As a one-stop resource, Access Networks’ Client Services Department simplifies the sales and design process for dealers.

Los Angeles, CA (January 30, 2020) – Access Networks, a leading provider of enterprise-grade wireless networking solutions for residential and commercial markets, has launched a new Client Services Department to dramatically streamline the sales, design and ordering process for home systems integrators. Access Networks’ newly formed Client Services combines resources from the company’s sales, design and ordering departments, fostering greater synergy among team members and resulting in quicker, more efficient response and service for integrators. Integrators now have single resource and point of contact, regardless of whether they are placing orders or posing design questions.

In the past, integrators contacted the sales, ordering and design departments through separate modes of communication; now they just send their information or query to one email address, where it is routed to the appropriate team member by Access Networks internally.

The new Client Services Department goes into effect immediately, coinciding with Access Networks’ recent acquisition of the Access Networks domain name. The new web address for Access Networks is www.accessnetworks.com, and dealers can contact the Client Services Department at clientservices@accessnetworks.com

“It’s a new decade and a new domain for Access Networks,” says CSO, Bryce Nordstrand. “Along with consolidating our sales, ordering and design teams into one overarching Client Services Department, our new web and email addresses simplify procedures for integrators. Like a one-stop shop, Client Services is able to help integrators in any capacity and can be reached through a single email address.”

Access Networks Expands into Canada, Naming the Watershed Group as Exclusive Rep and Distributor

Access Networks Expands into Canada, Naming the Watershed Group as Exclusive Rep and Distributor

Access Networks to deliver failsafe Wi-Fi networking options to dealers throughout Canada via new partnership with top luxury AV rep/distributor

Los Angeles, CA and Brantford, ON, Canada (October 1, 2019) – Access Networks, the premier enterprise-grade networking solutions provider for the modern smart home, proudly announced today that it is expanding into Canada and has entered into a partnership with hybrid rep/distribution firm The Watershed Group, which will represent the brand throughout the country.

“When we decided we are going fully into the AV control category, we quickly learned from manufacturers like Savant and others that networking is crucial, and it was suggested that we get in touch with Access Networks,” says Mike Gatapoulos, VP of the Watershed Group. “The integration community needs access to the right products and education to take advantage of the opportunities that exist. The products and services that Access Networks provides allow integrators to get into the space without having to be networking engineers themselves. The alternative, until now, has been to cobble networking systems together. Access Networks offers a complete solution and we are excited to spread the word throughout Canada.”

The Watershed Group puts an emphasis on representing luxury lines, and the products available via its manufacturers complement Access Networks’ offerings. The firm has deep experience and technical knowledge in the AV space that, in conjunction with Access Networks’ ACE Training program and Access Networks traveling with Watershed for sales meetings, will help Canadian dealers map out how to build the best and most appropriate network for high-end jobs without needing high-level networking expertise.

The Watershed Group will work closely with Access Network’s North American Sales Director Ben Jurow to roll out the launch of Access Networks in Canada.

“There are a lot of differences between the Canadian and US markets, but ultimately, everyone needs bulletproof wireless. And that’s what Access Networks delivers,” says Jurow. “Some dealers don’t know that there are better options and the pain points they are experiencing don’t necessarily need to exist. We are really excited that the Watershed Group is going to help us to understand the Canadian market and give these dealers the wireless networking options they’ve been waiting for.”

About The Watershed Group

The Watershed Group has evolved from its original predecessor, The Rep Company, which was established in 1995 as a regional rep-firm by Mark Lefler and Steve Davidson, both still at the helm today. As The Rep Company grew, so did their approach to the AV channel. Lead by outstanding technical knowledge, The Rep Company evolved from being a conventional rep firm into a new Canadian hybrid rep distribution firm. The Rep Company established a reputation for outstanding technical support for all the brands they represented. Over time, The Rep Company diversified their operations and approach to the marketplace and rebranded as the Watershed Group in 2011. Since then, T.W.G. has evolved into both a national and international distribution and design company. Learn more here: www.thewatershedgroup.ca/.
